it looks like he is greeting or saying hi to his friend.the guy in the corner shows the use of rule of thirds. the tree behind him is kind of distracting and takes away from the picture. the background looks like it has a glow affect and the light stream draws your attention.

I see blur in part of the photo, on the man on the right, also, the picture is taken from a lower vantage point. i think that the background of the photo draws a lot of attention, because of the lighting in the sky.

Also, a technical element in the photograph is blur and due to the time of day some technical elements that were considered was light and exposure.

I think the photographer chose this photo because of the background and the pop of red from the guy in the middle's shirt.

A guy is saying hi to his friend who is on the phone. The guy saying hi is placed in a position that creates rule of thirds, where the guy in the middle is a strong focal point.The strong focal point creates emphasis. The photo seems to be taken at night so the photographer would have to lower their aperture to let more light in

3. The value creates a contrast in color through the dark clothing and skin which is contrasted by the light of the sky, background lighting, and palm tree.

5. He had to make the lens wider (aperture) to allow for more light in the lens to highlight the background of the subject while also keeping out the perfect amount of light to make sure the subject isn't washed out by the brighter background.
Well theirs not much going on in this photo, the guy in the black shirt looks like he's on the phone with someone and heard some good news. The other guy i have no idea why hes shaking the other guys hand. Also in this photo it uses blur,lower vantage point

ReplyDeleteIn this photo i think that the guy in the middle just got off from a concert or something and the man on the right is congratulating him just because of the neon lights in the back.I see movement from the man on the right shaking the man in the middles hand and then our eyes see the tree above him. MOVEMENT. I think the photographer needed some type of studio light such as a reflector.

They help tell the story because we know something must be happening. The laser looking lights mean that somethings occurring, even though we don't know what.
The photographer needed to be careful with their light because if they exposed too much of it, the the laser looking lights in the back wouldn't be visible.
this picture appears to show two friends either meeting up or joking about something because they seem to be laughing or excited about something. This photo definitely shows blur just behind the subjects and also the picture is taken at a lower vantage point which suggests the photographer was working the scene.

It looks like some type of show is taking place and these two guys are friends saying hi to each other. I see color, lines, and form. The element of art "color" helps to create the principle of design "emphasis." The color that is emphasized on the man's shirt portrays something fun and exciting happening. It helps bring attention to what is on his shirt and it looks like the 100 emoji and that tells you that the picture was taken fairly recently. The photographer needed to consider that it was dark outside because it was night time so they needed to up the amount of light.

He is in the center of the picture, which creates a strong focal point; however, the plant is somewhat distraction, as it is behind him in the center. Color (element of art) helps create emphasis (principal of design) as the red of his shirt contrasts with the green plant. They help create a sense of friendship and closeness between the two men. The photographer needed to consider the light and shadows, seeing as the picture was being taken inside.

All of these things combined emphasize a jovial mood, one of casualness--the subjects are casual with each other, happy, and it is reflected in their environment.
The photographer needed to consider the time of day, how dark it is at night, and the tones of colors in the image. Exposure would be a big thing in this photo, and I believe the photographer did a good job on capturing it all, though it could be a little bit less blurry.

I think the exposure in the ISO was fairly kinda high and the shutter in the mid range because the guy's friend is blurred and because the color of the sky is a different shade of color.

How do the elements of art and principles of design help tell the story?
The light exposure is coming from all over but he exposed the 100 and the back light even though it's night time it's night life style of lighting, the main person is focused fine while movement is caught and blurred, some blur in lighting inn the back but that adds to the photo just fine.
Two friends that are going to hangout somewhere, perhaps at a restaurant. The use color, high exposure, and blur in the background of the photo. By using a high exposure it makes the photo more detailed at night and not some blacked out photo. The blur makes the photo seem quick in a way making it feel like this meet up was fast. He needed to make sure it was in a lighted place and not to dark or else it would be hard to see the subjects.

I think that everything, such as the blurry quality, vantage point, etc., help to make the photo have a lighter, more casual feeling, like someone would feel at a party environment. ReplyDeleteThis photograph looks like the individual on the left is using the phone to call a friend asking where he is but in turn his friend (which is the individual on the right), actually showed up and they're using a body language of "knuckling" to identify that they're both at the place they agreed to be at, via phone. The man on the right, it's difficult to see what his face expression is due to the blur, but I feel there's movement throughout the photo since there's a variety of detail, the person observing this photo can assume the two individuals met up on a cloudy day.

ReplyDeleteEverything about this photo feels off. The focus in soft, the saturation feels high in come places and low in others. The contrast is eerily low. I can't help but feel that this is a societal commentary. The image is by many definitions, improper. That's the idea behind the culture that the subjects represent. It's improper-- and that's the point.

ReplyDeleteI see a strong focal point and a color scheme with many dark values, however the 100 is a vibrant red likely symbolizing how this G is keepin' it real (100) in the photograph. the bright neon light behind the subject illustrates the urban/ suburban setting. the subject is back-lit giving him an aura of importance.

I see line, contrast, texture. line leads your eyes from the guy on the phone to the top of his head where the top of the palm tree is. it emphasizes the tree behind him and gives sort of a casual mood. It's just two guys meeting probably somewhere in california and that's all there is to it.

I see a man with a hat on and a shirt with an emoji on it giving knuckles to a man with the makings of a mustache. The man with the emoji shirt has a palm tree coming out of his hat and that's not normal.
ReplyDeleteIn this picture I see two friends greeting each other. The elements i see in this photo are color and contrast, in the background and the guys clothes. The contrast helps emphasize the guy on the phone, he is also the only one in focus. They help tell the story by giving idea of what the setting would be and who the main character is. The photographer had to consider a higher ISO and slow shutter speed because its at night.
ReplyDeleteClearly within this photo the two men are parting ways with each other, given the act of "Friendship" being displayed by a farewell fist bump for keeping it "One hunned". An element used within the photo is the element of color, which is represented by the very bright red "100" on the man's T-shirt, which is also being categorized as emphasis drawing the eye to the center of the photo. In addition to those elements of design this photo also contrasts different colors from each other having some super vibrant, and others incredibly desaturated.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the two guys in the picture ran just ran into each other while one of them was on the phone and they're just casually greeting each other. There is a strong focal point in the picture and everything in the picture has a blur to it except for the guy in the middle. The red on the guy's shirt and the green of the palm tree are very vibrant so they really catch the viewer's attention.

In the picture there are two guys meeting up with each other. The element of rule of thirds aligns the trunk of the tree with the subjects body almost making it look like he is part of the tree. The bright red on the subjects shirt contrasts with the green of the palm tree separating the two apart from each other even though proportionally they look to be the same. The photographer needed to make sure the exposure was set so that neither the tree nor the subject would be shadowed or all white.

3. The bright colors in this picture adds a dramatic contrast between the subject and the things around him. The background is fairly dark (including the blurred man) and the bright red lettering on his shirt adds some much needed contrast.

DeleteIn this picture the main subject (the guy in focus) is greeting a friend of his. This picture demonstrates color, and strong focal point. Color and strong focal point help create emphasis with the camera focusing on the main subject and the vibrant red of his shirt drawing the viewer's eyes to him. Leading lines of the subject's arm and his friend's arm establish that they're greeting each other. The lighting seems like the photographer had to take the photo with flash, so they're probably hanging out during the nighttime.

There is definitely a strong focal point and that is created by putting the subject right smack in the middle of the picture. Also contrast between the red one hundred and black shirt. The photographer needed to consider lighting and possibly that palm tree in the background however I kinda like the palm tree.

The tints of white and grey from the clouds, along with the shades of green from the large tree looming behind the main subject, the green lights that is reflected onto the two people's skin, and the small bushes off to the side from the center. There's a form of variety in which there are two people interacting while he is speaking on the phone from how his hand is raised. This multi-tasking displays that he is not entirely devoted to one thing at once.
3.The variety of subjects in this picture create a pretty aesthetic appearance, and I believe the actions the two men are in could depict a certain category.
4. I think the 'organized mess' in this picture can help you determine what exactly is going on.
